Carbon Underwriting appoints Rob Crocker as Active Underwriter

Carbon Underwriting, a specialist independent managing general underwriter (MGA) and Lloyd’s syndicate, has announced the appointment of Rob Crocker as Active Underwriter, effective April 2024.

An expert in professional lines underwriting, Crocker joins Carbon with three decades of industry experience bringing leadership, insight and dynamism to his new role.

Subject to regulatory approval, Crocker will work closely with Carbon’s existing Underwriting management team – Founder and CEO Nick Tye; Carbon Founder and Chief Underwriting Officer Jacqui Ferrier; and Carbon Founder and Chief Technology Officer Ben Laidlaw.

Crocker, who has previously served as Active Underwriter & Head of Professional Lines at Everest Re, and held senior underwriting roles with XL Catlin and W. R.
