Conduit Holdings names Stephen Redmond as a Non-Executive Director

Bermuda-domiciled property and casualty reinsurance group, Conduit Holdings, has appointed Stephen Redmond as a Non-Executive Director of its Board, effective May 14th, 2024.

As previously reported, Sir. Brian Williamson has now stepped down as a non-executive Director in line with CHL’s board succession plan. It follows the addition of Rebecca Shelley who has replaced Sir Brian as Chair of CHL’s Remuneration Committee and is a non-executive Director.

“With the experience he has gained over many years working in the London and global insurance markets, including in senior positions of strategic influence, Stephen is an excellent addition to the Board. He enhances our ability to prepare for, and navigate through, the inevitable challenges and opportunities that will come to Conduit Re in the years ahead.”

Redmond brings extensive industry experience to the Board, having served as the Managing Director of Antares Managing Agency Limited, and Active Underwriter of Antares Syndicate 1274.

Before his career at Lloyd’s, Redmond held numerous leadership positions in the London market at firms like General Accident, Eagle Star, and Württembergische Versicherung AG, where he was Managing Director.

Redmond has also held the roles of Chairman of The Institute of London Underwriters and of the Joint Hull Committee. He currently serves as a non-executive director of Asta Managing Agency Ltd. where he is a member of the risk, audit, and remuneration committees.
